My Story
I identify strongly as an Art Therapist. My approach to art therapy and my way of being in the world are in alignment. I practice an integrated form of therapy in which I draw from many models of therapy and many understandings of life. I work primarily through a trauma informed lens, using anti-oppressive and feminist methods.
Practicing from a place of curiosity, non-judgement, empathy and respect, I strive to support you in exploring your innate capacity to move towards positive growth. My work is my passion and my hope is to join with you in your goals for change.
Specialized interest
My own creative inspiration comes primarily from the beautiful natural world around me. I collect the vast majority of my art material from the earth, and particularly enjoy the sustainability of this practice. Working with found materials encourages moments of pause and appreciation for nature. Many individuals become inspired to begin their own collection of unusual material to incorporate into their creative process.
I have a particular interest in supporting women and girls as they navigate the many challenges of life, especially the rocky years of adolescence and the transformative experience of becoming a parent.
